I was the Original Owner of this 1968 Dodge Charger R/T. I bought it new in December 1967
Engine was rebuilt in 1980 at 100,240+ miles, due to the institution of unleaded gas and the need for hardened valves etc. It has a Chrysler "hemi grind" camshaft,
(aka, purple shaft), which was one step up from stock at that time because the stock cam was not available.
The automatic transmission was replaced in 1982-3 with a 1970 transmission "727 type", (same as original...new from Chrysler), and had the original trans rebuilt.
The car was repainted the original color in 1982 and the upholstery redone (in original material and design) in about 1985.

I sold it to Paul Warden in June of 2001.

Since Paul got the car he has repainted the hub caps, 1 was in very good condition, 2 were so-so and the 4th was missing alot of paint. Also he has had the tail lights refurbished, looks like real nice work from the photo.
This spring and summer he hopes to get the engine out and have the engine compartment repainted, detailed, powder coated and the engine repainted to the original turquoise blue.
Paul was pretty close on his taget date for restoration. Check out this link to see Photos of what he has done to the car.
